Rhythm Taps App Reviews

This app is a good idea but the two critical flaws are that the button to tap the rhythm into the device seems to have a lag or a delay, making it nearly impossible to accurately tap in the beat. Its as slow as molasses. Very irritating. The other critical flaw is you cannot change the tempo. Its a good idea, but those two issues make this app almost unusable.

I love this app!! This app has really helped me solidify my sense of rhythm and vastly increased my sight reading. Plus, its been fun doing so! Any musician who is looking to improve or practice rhythms should get this! I cant wait for the next updates; theyre gonna be sweet!

This is great for all skill levels. An easy way to keep your rhythm sharp!

The app itself is easy to use with a large responsive button to tap rhythms, meaning you can really focus on getting the rhythm down. Plenty of exercises available so I would recommend to beginning musicians and even to experienced musicians who want to test their mastery.

Ever since Ive downloaded this app, Ive really straightened out my life. My sense of rhythms is so much more fine tuned thanks to this app. MUST DOWNLOAD, perfect for musicians of all levels, seriously I cant put my phone down. This is more addicting then ten ten and candy crush combined. This app is just the best.

This game is incredibly addicting and educational at the same time. I absolutely love it. Its a fantastic idea. Im hoping to see tied notes and maybe different time signatures with new levels in the next update. All in all, this is an awesome app and Id recommend it to anyone.

This is a very good app if youre looking to learn rhythms or just get a refresher. Would be great for teaching and if youre unsure if some rhythms you can hear examples. The only change I would make at this time is being able to adjust the tempo. Tapping runs of 16th notes can get a bit muddled. Overall great app!!!!!

Between levels 4 and 5 there is a DRASTIC change in difficulty. Dotted notes were not even introduced before. There is no buildup or proper training to make this possible to pass. Also, whenever an ad refreshes it doesnt register your touch and makes you start the level over, which is very annoying.

Love the concept, but it needs a couple tweaks. -There seems to be a delay with the response of the users taps that causes "flams" for in-tempo taps vs. the metronome beat. Not great for teaching good habits to young musicians. It feels almost impossible to line them up audibly, and it is only achievable by migrating slightly off the beat. -It would be nice to see a visual cue of where the beat is in the measure, and which notes aware correctly placed or missed. Ideas are a "sing-along" bouncing ball or color coded notes as the rhythm is performed correctly or missed.

The idea of refreshing and reviewing rhythms that challenge my students and myself is a fun idea. I do, however, agree with an earlier comment. There is a significant lag in the response between pressing the button and the metronome beats. Plus, the game does jump skill levels rapidly.

The rhythms are inaccurate and even if the timing is slightly off it may or may not give the pass. Rhythms that are correct sometimes do not pass. The app does not show where errors occur nor does it teach the subdivision of notes. Not particularly useful for those trying to learn rhythms.

Fun and accurate until level 4 where it is impossible to tap 16th notes. I mean you can tapp them but the iPhone wont recognize all 4 (maybe 2 or 3) only sometimes 4. The hardware will not recognize 4 tapp in the allotted time. So even if you know the rhythm, and tapp it correctly the iPhone hardware seems incapable of sensing it at this speed.

Lasted 1 play on my phone. You have to buy the sounds? Really? And button only worked a few times then it stopped. Dont waste time on this one
